How Does This Work?

Life insurance, like most types of insurance, is based on risk. The healthier you are, the less of a risk you are and the better your life insurance rates will be.

With your John Hancock policy, your health and activity metrics are tracked using the wearable technology of your choice (FitBit, Apple SmartWatch, etc…) and sent to Vitality through the app on your mobile device.

Every month, Vitality sends a report to John Hancock informing them of all the activity you had during that time period in the way of points. The more points you gain, the lower your rates for life insurance become.

From there, John Hancock lowers or raises your life insurance premiums based on your reported metrics, rewarding you for the healthy living choices you make each day.
